What Should We Thank God For?

There are numerous reason to offer thanksgiving to GOD. The first is this: we thank God first and foremost because Who He Is. Far more than the material things God does provide for us, Who He Is is a primary reason to thank Him.

You don’t wait until you see some material blessings before you thank God. When you come to understand this fact, nothing in life will makes you to stop thanking God.

You see, thanksgiving puts our hearts in the right place with God, filling us with humility and praise. David knew this concept well. The Psalms are filled with David’s songs of praise to Almighty God.

These Scriptures often extol God for his attributes, such as his absolute power, infinite knowledge, and universal presence. The highest expression of this type is thanksgiving for God's sovereignty. This acknowledges and praises God for His proper place over mankind and all creation. Psalm 100 is an example of this, "Know that the Lord is God. It is He, who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise his name."(Vs.3-4)

It’s the seventeenth day of this thanks-filled month. Begin your day by thanking God for Who He Is. He is the I am that I am; Jehovan Jireh; Yahweh; The Most High. Thank and thank Him for that throughout the day.

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus?
