Thanksgiving: Should We Give Thanks When Things Are Bad And Why?

When things are bad, should we thank God for the bad things? 
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”  - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

This is a tricky question. God doesn’t do bad things to us. Satan does. Nevertheless our thanksgiving to God shouldn’t be determine by our situations. Truly things might be bad but you gotta thank God that they are not worst.

Ungratefulness start when we fail to see the good in situations. You don’t have money and you think God is bad, ask the rich sick folks.

There is always something God has done for you, ALWAYS. He is a good Father.

We can not even thank Him enough. A famous song lyrics says: He has done so much for me, I can not tell it all.

The mercies and goodness of the Lord are just awesome and mighty. We have reasons and reasons to give thanks to Him. Anything short of that is ungrateful.

Paul and Silas were in the prison, yet they weren’t ungrateful for a moment. As a matter of fact, they started a praise session that eventually led to their release.

You might not be where you want to be but you are not where you used to be. Thank God for the progress. You might have gone through many challenges this year: illness, unanswered prayers, financial challenges, marital issues etc. No one is denying that. You should despite it all give thanks to God that He is with you and He will see you through.

It’s the ninth day of our Thanks-filled Month, List out the bad things (problems/challenges/struggles) that has happen to you or is happening to you: Thank God that things didn’t get worst, thank Him in advance because He will see you through it.

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. He sends  rain  on the just and on the unjust. - Matthew 5:44 It's raining as I type this post and I remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:45 where he talks about  God sending the rain on both the just and unjust. God won't because are a sinner or a bad personal withdraw the rain from Falling on your side. One special trait we are to emulate from God is that we should not discriminate.
