Offer unto God Thanksgiving
- Psalm 59:14
We give all thanks not because we are good but because He is good. We thank God for what He has done. When Jesus healed the 10 lepers, He was expecting to come back to give thanks. Unfortunately only one came back.
Don’t be an ungrateful humans like the other 9 lepers. When parents buy something for their children, they expect to hear a ‘thank you’ from them. No parent will be happy with an ungrateful child
To thank God is to acknowledge the things He has done for you. It is important to thank God because it means one recognizes the source of a blessing. Saying thanks acknowledges God as the source of all our blessings. It recognizes that He has been gracious in giving us so many good things and it is simply the right thing today.
Our praises should always flow from a grateful heart. God will not be happy with us when we don’t offer Him thanksgiving.
There are many blessings that come from being grateful for the good things we enjoy.
The two things that “offend God” the most are ingratitude and disobedience.
On this second day of December, ask God to forgive you if every sin of ungratefulness in the past and begin to thank Him for those blessings that you haven’t offer Him thanksgiving for.
May we never stop been ungrateful to God.
Happy Sunday to you! 😊👍
