We continue on looking at how we can offer our thanksgiving to God

Thanksgiving Prayer

For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. - 1 Timothy 4:4-5

Another way of showing thanksgiving to God is through prayer.

Prayer is an essential part of conveying appreciation to our Heavenly Father. He awaits our expressions of gratefulness each morning and night in sincere, simple prayer from our hearts for our many blessings, gifts, and talents.

Through expression of prayerful gratitude and thanksgiving, we show our dependence upon a higher source of wisdom and knowledge.... We are taught to 'live in thanksgiving daily.' (Alma 34:38).

It’s not every time we always prayed to God for something. We can pray to Him thanking Him for what He has done, is doing and will do. Nothing more and nothing less. Folks believe prayers is only meant to ask something from God. Nope. Prayer is a dialogue between God the Father and we His children. When we converse with God in prayer, thanksgiving should be on our mind. Tell Him ‘Thank You’ for those miracles, healing, provision. Etc.

Thanksgiving prayers are selfless prayers, it’s less of you and more of God. You don’t ask God for something in your thanksgiving prayers, instead you solely thank Him.

It’s the fifth day of the Thanks-filled December. What has God done for you? What is He doing for you? And what will He do for you? Thank Him for it all...
