Lockdown Day 12: Perseverance

During this lockdown, people are gonna learn about more about perseverance and patience.

Perseverance is the ability to stand up and take a step forward when everyone else sits down. It is to forge ahead when others are giving up.

Some countries are extending their lockdown, more could be extending it as well but all is in a bid to end this pandemic which is already slowing down. People resolve is really been stretch to the limit.

The lockdown is biting hard on most people, no doubt but this is the time to learn the art of perseverance for the greater good. Sometimes in life, we go through certain tough moments just so we can the blissful ones. Tough situations don't last but tough people do.

The lockdown is not going to last long, so it's important we keep persevering. Manage what you have at this moment. Learnt the art of patience in times like this. We would surely scale through this difficult moment. Life would return back to normal (though in a new way).

People get swallowed up by the pressures of life's and it's challenges mostly because they do not know how to persevere and hang in there. They find it difficult to make some difficult choices in challenging times.

The trait of perseverance doesn’t always come naturally; luckily you can develop it. This also means that you have a choice to persevere or not.

Stay Safe, Stay Persevering and Stay healthy.

Music: I Want to Live (Download)

I have another favourite song from the stable of Dunamis Ministry led by Pastor Paul Eneche.  The song is titled I want to live where you are. The song blesses me so much and I am sure you will be blessed by it. Below is the song lyrics and also a link where you can download the song. Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to sta

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
