Good day to you folks,
I hope we all are staying safe during this Covid-19 pandemic. Some countries are in lockdown mode. I just hope it ain't biting hard for you. I started a special writing for this lockdown period, hopefully it shouldn't be more than 14 days.
We know what the greatest lockdown is and how we can be free from it.
Today, I'm writing on lessons we can learn from this lockdown. Yes, there are numerous lessons, but I will be picking just few of them.
Lesson 1: Planning
There is this popular adage which says 'He who fails to plan has plan to fail'. This lockdown period has expose so many people, family companies, governtments who have fail to plan or who plan shabbily or woefully. Nobody knows tomorrow which is why we should even plan the more.
We shouldn't leave our lives, business etc to chances or luck. It will be irresponsible of us not to think about the future today. Contingencies plans has to be made.
True, we can't plan for everything in the future but we can do our best to plan well enough. This period should teach people the essence of planning for the rainy day.
Our planning should be for the short and long term. If there is any lesson one should learn first from this pandemic, it is to learn to plan.
If you need help on how to plan, please seek help on it. A well planned life won't always be taken by surprise.
Oil producing African governments are in a shocked for not planning outside their oil resources. Oil prices are very low, most don't know how to fund their budget. This won't have have happen if they had plan well during the bountiful season (excess crude oil revenue).
Tomorrow, I continue on lessons to be learnt during this lockdown period.
Stay safe!
