Knowledge: What You Ought To Know

The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly. - Proverb 15:14

Many times, I do received the so called 'chain messages' that ask you to pass a particular message to 10, 20 people or else. They both promises and threaten you. Funny enough, there are folks that literally get scared of the chain messages and thereby forward it to virtually all their contacts.
At times, there is are messages purported to have come from a famous clergyman who has a vision about the rapture or sees Jesus coming back. Due to the gullible nature of some folks, they virtually take everything hook and line. No wonder, I do hear and read stories of people eating grass after been told to do so by their pastors.

One of the causes for all these is ignorance. People who don't have knowledge will be at the risk of perishing. Knowledge is power. Always seek to learn and know more. Don't just do things because someone ask you. Find out if what you are to do is in line with the Word of God. God doesn't contradict His Word. The Word is God. It's through the Word of God that you can discern  errors. So many congregation has been led astray by men of God simply because they can't discern the errors been fed to them.

When we don't know the Word, we become vulnerable to nonsenses from the pit of hell. God doesn't forces you, infact He gave everyone freewill. When we are not rightly informed, we will be deformed.

Paul in most of his writings will always use the phrase 'Know he not...", he is emphasizing on the fact that they should know this....

Be knowledgeable and stop been gullible.

I pray you will be able to discern between what is right and what is wrong.

Good Morning and have a blessed week.

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me...

The lyrics for the song goes thus: "We're connected to this world through our senses By what's tangible and easy to comprehend  There are days when it seems We're going nowhere fast Trust your faith to show you the truth Give a listen to what faith says to you:  "Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days. Our status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days.  My status is changing, there's no more decline I'm on my way to better days  Better days are in You, Jesus... My better life is in You, Jesus... Life's changing is in You, Jesus... My success is in You, Jesus... All I have to do is to look to You... Better days are with You... My f...

If Men Were God

He sends  rain  on the just and on the unjust. - Matthew 5:44 It's raining as I type this post and I remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:45 where he talks about  God sending the rain on both the just and unjust. God won't because are a sinner or a bad personal withdraw the rain from Falling on your side. One special trait we are to emulate from God is that we should not discriminate. If men were God, the rain will be raining only on the good, the sun will be shinning only on the perfect. We humans readily discriminate, we isolate those we feel are not perfect or good. We see those who have sinned as been candidates of hell as if we haven't sinned before. One major problem of our society is discrimination. Even in church, we discriminate, we see that prostitute and we readily condemned her. We readily forget that as children of God, we don't just do good to good people, we are to do good to everybody. It doesn't matter how bad a person might be, you ...
