Self-Confidence or God-Confidence

...we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
- Romans 8:37

Jesus told Peter that he will denied Him thrice, Peter a loyal devotee of Jesus vehemently declared that he won't leave Him (Jesus) at any time. But we all know what eventually happened, He denied Jesus thrice, exactly as Jesus has foretold Him.(Matthew 26:33-35,  72-75)

Many of us could relate to this: so many times, we have made vow to God, promise Him this and that, yet we ended up disappointing Him. Many of us not really because we want to. Like Peter, we love Jesus and we want to do everything to please Him. The problem is we try to do all that with our strength. We have this self confidence like Peter that we won't let God down.

Jesus told Peter He has prayed for him so that he will stand at the end. (Luke 22:31-34) We can't please God in our flesh. It will always be a struggle. So many folks have this bad addiction that they want to stop but they have been trying it on their own accord. Jesus has already pray for us all. We shouldn't have self-confidence but God-confidence.

Peter meant what He said to Jesus but yet he fail. Saying it is not enough, you have to tap into the God confidence. Draw from the strength of Jesus to prevail. Stop doing it on your accord because it will always be a struggle.

We are more than conqueror THROUGH Jesus Christ that loved and strengthen us. Hand over every struggles to God, hand over that addiction to Jesus. That is what Jesus came down on earth to do, to take our burdens and relieve us.

It's a blessed Monday, this week, you shall be found favour before God and before men.

Good Morning and do have a wonderful day.

Verse 1 I want to  to live lord in the world of your Glory I want to live lord in the place where you are To stay away from the pressures & cares of this life. To stay away Lord from the ways of the world. (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. I want to stay oh Lord in your resting place Lead me away from things that keep me from you Separate me from the things Lord that hinders me. (3*) Verse 2 Oh Lord my heart is longing for your precious presence To receive Lord the light of your countenance So I can escape the darkness that covers the Earth So I can escape Lord the path of error (2*) Chorus I want to live oh Lord just right where you are. Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
