Redemption From The Sins of The Fathers


Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree: 
- Galatians 3:13

Yesterday post talks about the consequences of the sins of the fathers that affect his generation. Many have been fighting 'inherited' battles. But the question one will ask is how do one get out of this consequences, how does one stop the generational curse. The actions of our forefathers (idol worshipping, killings of strangers/visitors, slavery, etc) has great consequences which affect us. Solomon Son suffered for the sins of his father. Ruben generations suffered for the sins of their Father. Isaac generation till today have no long period of peaceful rest because of Ishmael. Ishmael generation keeps tormenting them.

The first step to been free from this is to have Jesus. Jesus is the redemption for every battles, curse, consequences that we are under. A man/woman without Jesus will be easily tormented by the enemy. Our fathers might have entered into some covenants that are having negative effects on us. Only Jesus can break such covenant. Jesus primarily came into this world to redeem us from every curse, Generational curse or not. So when you find yourself fighting a battle that your forefathers fought or that arises as a result of your forefathers sins, you have got to seek refuge and redemption in Jesus. Only Jesus is the way out of the problem: The first thing that Christianity does is to undo this consequences by deliverance from the curse.

If Men Were God

He sends  rain  on the just and on the unjust. - Matthew 5:44 It's raining as I type this post and I remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:45 where he talks about  God sending the rain on both the just and unjust. God won't because are a sinner or a bad personal withdraw the rain from Falling on your side. One special trait we are to emulate from God is that we should not discriminate.
