Psalm 3:3 - Zero to Hero

... thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. - Psalm 3:3

David been a military man, and often alludes to military affairs; and borrows words from thence to express his great security from the Lord.

The significance of the above verse comes out as we read in 2Samuel 15:30 how the humiliated monarch went barefoot over Olivet, with head bent down and muffled in his mantle; no glory or dignity left; mute and humiliated under the insults and curses of Shimei.

David in the midst of his dangers and distress, quiets his mind by calling to remembrance the power, and love, and faithfulness of God, and trusting in him. We also are to do likewise, in all our perplexities and troubles.

God is our shield, shield like no other, Protector is another word for shield.  We live in such a wicked world but the Lord God will surely shield us from every evil.

God is our Glory, like no other. Honour is another word for Glory. God eventually honour David in the presence of His enemies. When God is our glory, He bestow an uncommon honour on us.

God is our head lifter, like no other.  Deliverer is another word for lifter of head. The Lord eventually lift up David head from shame to fame, from zero to hero, from nothing to something. That is what happens when God lifts our head.

Every child of God startles at the very thought of despairing of help in God. We shouldn't fear but trust in God alone to protect us, should bestow His honour on us and to deliver us from all evil.

It's a beautiful day and it's my prayer that the Lord God will continually be your shield, your glory and the lifter of your head.

Good Morning and a have a good Monday.

Made a Way: The Story Behind The Song

Made a way is a song written and sang by award winning artist Travis Greene in the year 2015. Many people knows the song but few actually know the story behind the song. The song was actually borne out of a personal testimony of Travis Greene. According to the artist, 'Made a Way' was written during an impossible situation. His pregnant wife’s water broke at 21 weeks, when pregnancy normally takes between 37-42 weeks. The doctors said the possibility of the baby’s survival is slim to none, and it was during this period when his wife was on bed rest for two months that he wrote the song. There was nothing else for them to hold on to but faith, and the good news is that as slim as the chance was, it didn’t break because faith held it together and today their baby boy is alive.  When Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’s daughter and news came that things had gone from bad to worse, that the girl was dead. Jesus overheard and said, "Don't be upset. Just trust me

Lessons From the Sons of Sceva

....the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? - Acts 19:15 One funny incident that I read in the  Bible is about the seven sons of Sceva that attempted to use the Name of Jesus to cast out demons. The demons replied them that He knows Jesus and Paul, but who are they? They were given the beating of their life. (Acts 19:11-16) Were they wrong in using the Name of Jesus? No. But truth is they don't know nor understand that Name. They only want to use it selfishly just to get the results that Paul was getting. They thought it was a rocket science. Many at times we believers are like that; We live in sin , we disobey God and when we need something, we want to perform miracles, do signs and wonders in the Name of Jesus which we really belittle or don't value.  Someone once said during a plane turbulence, he saw unbelievers even shouting the name of Jesus. No wonder some folks suffered embarrassment like the sons of Sceva.  When
