The Sins of The Father...

Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
12 Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son. - 1 Kings 11:11-12

The story is Solomon is a sweet story turned bitter. He started well but ended badly. God gave the Israelites specific instruction about the tribes/nations they must not marry from, But Solomon disobey every of the instruction, as a matter of fact, He did the exact opposite, He marry from virtually every tribe God has commanded them not to marry from. These strange women eventually turned his heart (Solomon) away from God and He did evil in the sight of the Lord. (1 Kings 11:1-10).

As a result of that, God gave Solomon Son a troublesome regime, the kingdom collapses during his son regime. The son faces problems because of what his father has done.

Many people are still battling against the effect of their forefathers actions. Some folks have unknowingly put their family into danger as a result of their deeds. Solomon son has no peace during his reign simply because of what his father Solomon did. When you do so much evil in the sight of God by disobeying his instructions, you are bringing trouble upon your household. God is not a wicked God, but when the head of a family is not aligned with God, it gives the enemy chance to infiltrate the family. The descendants of Abraham son with Hagar is what is troubling the descendant of Isaac up till today. A father mistakes can have ripples effects upon the children.

Fathers, be careful of your actions, don't bring generational curses into your family. Some children are born into certain battles in their family and they grow up wondering why...

Our actions (good or bad) today (as a generation) do have far reaching effect over our generations yet unborn.
